I decided to finally make some Christmas cards this year.
Featuring this little elf.
Just painted another thing. I’m really into fairies now, after the last one with the bushes. And I also need to practice making shadows dark enough. Continue reading “Window Fairy – with a video!”
I made a new painting of Tuli (that’s their name now). I’ve always got lots of ideas for new paintings with them, but I easily get too occupied with my personal projects, and postpone other important stuff I have to do. So I have to hold myself back from manifesting every single idea that pops into my head. This one wasn’t really supposed to happen.
This month I tried to take on the monthly challenge from Doodlewash. It’s about painting 30 watercolours in 30 days, and there’s a list of prompts to follow.
Since we’re only in the middle of the month, you might have figured out that I didn’t make it through the challenge.
Here’s a new painting, inspired by the time I was in school, and me and my friends used to collect bottles to trade in for candy.
Ok, not quite. In reality I only wanted to paint a little shop, and the bottle-idea came along on the way.
Just like it took me longer than it should to realize that I could use my current interest for mushrooms to make art, so did it take a while for me to start combining the mushrooms with my love for tiny houses.
I don’t know what took me so long. Mushroom houses are already a big thing, and I’ve drawn some before I got interested in the fungi-species. Oh well, at least it hit me eventually.
Here’s the steps I took to make my latest mushroom-painting.
I want to move.
I really, really want to go someplace else.
I want to live somewhere where I can have my own table to paint at, to be able to have both a paper and a laptop out at the same time. Somewhere where the whole house doesn’t lift from the ground each time someone takes a step.
